About

web

Hello, I’m Vinny Moreira — a self-starter entrepreneur and web developer based in San Diego. I’ve been learning about technology and the web since 2004. From developing websites to building complex web applications, I love everything that has to do with making the web a better place.

In 2011 after working for many years as web developer for an industry-leading medical marketing company, I founded Vimo Designs - my own website design and development company.

The main reason I chose web developer as a career is that I realized as technology evolved I would be constantly learning and growing. This never-ending learning experience is priceless to me!

When I’m not working, I like to travel, take photos, play the guitar, and exercise.

photography

Photography is a passion that I have always had and decided to take it more seriously in the past few years. Capturing breath-taking moments in life with a camera is fascinating to me. I enjoy mostly shooting everything that has to do with nature, beaches, waterfalls, and animals.

travel

Traveling is definitely one of the things I enjoy the most. I believe that we can learn so much by exploring new places and by being exposed to other cultures. It is fascinating to me to see the differences in other cultures and people’s lifestyles; despite all the differences, I believe we all make up to a single force working towards one common purpose.

I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to travel to a few places around the globe. Throughout my journey I made lots of friend and met some incredible people who have influenced and helped me become the person I am today. Here are the countries I have visited so far.

Brazil, Canada, China, Croatia, Dubai, Egypt, France, Hungary, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Philippines, Portugal, Puerto Rico (USA Territory), Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Thailand, Turkey, United States (home)

music

My interest in music started very early in my life. Influenced by my older brother who was a guitarist, I developed strong interest in Music and a desire to learn how to play the guitar. At the age of 11 I was gifted my first cavaquinho and started taking lessons. After about one year, I went off to learn more on my own and taught myself how to play the guitar.

I enjoy listening to a good variety of music genres, especially instrumentals. My favorite types of music are jazz, bossa nova, classical and samba.

I occasionally play gigs in San Diego and nearby areas. I have also traveled the country playing music.
